HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY POLICY

Marine GeoSolutions (Pty.) Ltd will conduct all operations in a manner that protects human safety, health, the environment and company property, while complying with all applicable legislation and regulations. The company will continuously strive for improvement in these areas.

Health, Environment & Safety protection is a responsibility that extends to all levels of management and all employees and contractors are to perform their duties in accordance with this policy.

This policy is implemented through the following practices:

  • Striving for continued improvement in health, safety and environmental protection through the establishment of effective management systems,

  • Informing employees of the policy and providing the necessary training so that they may safely perform their individual responsibilities and duties,

  • Providing relevant safety and health information to contractors and requiring them to provide proper training for the safe performance of the work,

  • Incorporating health, environment and safety requirements in operations,

  • Establishing and maintaining communications on health, environment and safety issues with concerned groups and regulatory agencies,

  • Providing appropriate equipment for the safe performance of work,

  • Establishing, maintaining and reviewing Emergency Readiness Plans to minimize health impacts, injuries, damage to the environment and/or property loss to the community or company,

Any employee who knowingly violates applicable health, environment and safety policies, laws and/or regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including discharge.
